FROM May pole dancing to face painting, residents are in for a treat at a town’s May fair.
Petts Wood is hosting its annual event on Monday May 4 between 10am and 4pm for families and youngsters.
There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the day including the traditional maypole dance, live music, various other dance groups, theatre performances.
Taking place in Petts Wood Hall and gardens along Petts Wood Road, there will also be a treasure hunt, stalls, cakes and refreshments, animal corner, craft activities, dance lessons and face painting.
Adults can check out the classic sports car display while children can go on the bouncy castle and look at a police car and fire engine.
Town centre manager Lorraine McQuillan said: “I am delighted that local businesses and organisations are once again supporting the May Fayre.
“This year’s fayre is expected to be bigger and better than ever with something for all the family.”
As part of the May Day celebrations the May Queen Group will also be parading through Petts Wood on Saturday 2nd May starting at the News Shopper car park at 2pm.
