THERE is still time for people to comment on the future of Bexley Council’s Hill View site in Welling.
The site is one of 11 council-owned properties being put up for sale and redevelopment as part of the council’s Bexley First project.
The project will redevelop the civic offices site in Bexleyheath Broadway and help modernise the way council services are delivered.
Hill View, in Hill View Drive, was a former school which has been adapted for use by the council’s education and community staff.
Part of the former playing fields was used to create Hillview Cemetery.
The site has residential housing on two sides and the cemetery and Woodlands Farm Trust land on the other two, and is designated as Metropolitan Open Land.
Draft proposals suggest the most suitable and likely redevelopment would be for housing.
The proposals can seen at Welling Library, in Bellegrove Road, and at other borough libraries as well as council offices and on the council’s website at bexley.gov.uk
The deadline for comments is April 22.
