Hi all
Well not really sure what has been going over the past week, but all I know is that comments were being left and then certain ones deleted and it all got messy. Then I was outted to my fellow bloggers by mistake in an email……. It certainly was all going on.
However Mr Cheetham has seemed to now put things in order and also sent the bloggers a very nice email explaining what had gone on.
I personally like writing my blog, ok it’s not going to win any great prizes in the literature circles, but it is a chance for me to get things off my chest, ask for opinions and generally have a chit chat.
I was first attracted to this section on the News Shopper Site by reading Erastus’s first blogs and I got hooked and I struck up some good friendships on here, with nice people who you could have a debate, a laugh and a joke and generally relieve the boredom.
However like anything there will always be a fly (or two or three) in the ointment, and we can go for weeks and weeks with nothing, then we suddenly get comments which quite frankly are not needed.
I think it is great that we are allowed to be able to voice our opinions, but once comments get personal or racist or make threats or just use abusive language then there really is no place for them.
When you blog gets riddled with these types of comments it must make you think, you know is it really worth it.
In general I think the NS staff have quite a job on their hand policing this site and as you may remember from previous blogs I am not always sure they make the right decisions, but again we all have views and opinions and that does not necessarily make us correct.
On the whole I think the NS do the best they can and I am quite happy with the way things are run and I do think by registering it really has stopped a lot of the unnecessary comments.
I hope that I will be here for the foreseeable future and I hope I can at least keep some of you entertained!
Love
Tinks
