Lazy Saturday afternoon, met up with a friend- the unfortunate soul who I treated to a cup of tea and a biscuit round my flat.
But today I realised I had been so overzealous on the saving last week, that I had inadvertently (probably due to my poor counting skills) saved £20.
And I blew it in one luxurious afternoon.
First I had a slice of home-made cake and cup of tea in a lovely little cake shop just off Carnaby Street in central London.
Then we went to an arty chilled-out bar and drank some cocktails, followed by a meal in a cheap and cheerful noodle bar next to Piccadilly Circus.
I think I got a lot for my money, but there is no way of getting away from the fact that I spent £20 in about four hours.
I don't regret it, I really enjoyed it.
Extravagance over now.
