Jonathan Blakes plans to make the run-up to Easter more exciting
PEOPLE may recall that on the Sunday before Easter, now known as Palm Sunday, Christ entered Jerusalem in triumph, riding on a donkey.
For the fifth year, Welling archbishop Jonathan Blake will be providing a more children-centred event on Sunday (April 5) in Danson Park, Danson Road, Welling.
He will be next to the children’s play area with his family and up to three donkeys and inviting children to enjoy free donkey rides.
He said: “It is not specifically a religious event, rather a happy opportunity hopefully on a nice day, to enjoy the park and make Palm Sunday for the children, part of the exciting build-up to Easter.”
