COUNCIL services are moving to make way for a new development.
More than 500 Greenwich Council staff will be moving out of Peggy Middleton House in Woolwich New Road over the next few weeks.
The first staff will be moved on March 23 and will relocate to the Crown Building at 48 Woolwich New Road.
This move will allow demolition work to start on Peggy Middleton House which sits in the heart of the Love Lane development site.
It will be home to the new Woolwich Service Centre, which will include a new library, offices for 2,000 staff, a business centre and a rooftop gallery.
Departments dealing with highways and street lighting will move on March 26, electoral services on April 14, building control on April 16 and technical services, planning and land changes on April 23.
The car park at Peggy Middleton House will be closed from April 24.
