THE Biggin Hill and Westerham Lions Club and Biggin Hill Scouts have launched an appeal to raise funds to ensure the future of their community minibus project.
The Lions and Scouts jointly own a community minibus used for trips and camps by the Scouts and by the Lions for fundraising projects and welfare activities.
It is also used every week by Biggin Hill Community Care for its assisted shopping service for senior citizens.
Any club or group in the area can borrow the bus if it makes a small donation.
Funds are needed for running costs and maintenance and to provide for its eventual replacement.
Donations can be made via everyclick.com and searching for Biggin Hill and Westerham Lions Club.
This enables gift aid to be added to the donation.
Donations can also be made via PayPal by using the “send money” option to bigginlions@supanet.com
Lastly, until the end of this month, people can support the appeal by putting green tokens in the Community Matters Scheme box in Waitrose in Biggin Hill.
To find out more about the club, visit bigginlions.com or call Malcolm Lowing on 01959 576628.
For minibus booking inquiries, call Les Dobbs on 01959 574009.
