My challenge to live on minimum wage begins tomorrow, and I must be honest and admit it has made me quite reckless over the past week.
My bank statement will probably show a spike in activity in the days leading up to tomorrow.
As I've walked up the aisles of the supermaket, or popped into a cafe, I've had the words "You can't afford that on £5.73 an hour" float into my mind, quickly followed by the thought "oh go on, last opportunity to treat myself for more than six weeks."
I'm resigned to the fact that I won't be able to buy convenience food.
In fact, I am a little worried my cooking skills won't be able to hold up to the demands of healthy but very cheap food.
Tonight- aside from pancakes- I will be enjoying my last pre-chopped mixed Mediterranean vegetable stir fry pack with noodles.
And as for my evenings- no going out. I guess it will be the TV and a good book for me.
