SCHOOLCHILDREN have won shopping centre vouchers after designing anti-bullying posters.
Earlier this month (December) Kent County Council’s Kent Safe Schools project, which promotes a pleasant learning environment, awarded £90 worth of Bluewater vouchers to three students from Longfield Academy in Main Road.
The students were the winners of a Year 10 competition to design the best anti-bullying poster with the theme of ‘being different - belonging together’.
Kent Safe Schools project officer Jill Lipscombe awarded the vouchers and said: “Longfield Academy students have embraced the concept of anti Bullying and are working together as a community to prevent bullying within their environment.”
The winners of the competition were chosen by seven Year 10 peer mentors, who support younger students at the school.
