A CAR crash left two people in hospital and a road in Green Street Green partly closed for five hours last night.

The black Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Ford Mondeo crashed into each other in Farnborough Way and burst into flames.

It took firefighters around an hour to put out the fires and they left the scene by around 6.15pm yesterday (December 10).

One lane of the road was closed off from the Green Street Green roundabout to the Farnborough Hill roundabout until the vehicles were removed.

The stretch of road was reclosed at 8.11pm because metal and rubber from the cars were embedded in the surface.

It was reopened at 10.29pm.

Both accident casualties were taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, but neither was seriously injured.

There have been no arrests.
