MEMBERS were taken back in time when Frank Paine offered An Edwardian Nursery Magic Lantern Show at the October meeting.
The array of slides together with the fascinating display of toys he brought along and how his collection had evolved kept members enthralled.
As a Meccano enthusiast, with sets dating back to the early 1900s, it was interesting to view some of his models such as Tower Bridge among the assortment of other Edwardian toys.
Our next gathering will be our Christmas meeting when friends and family are welcome to join this social event.
This will be held at 7.45pm on November 26 at the Rosary Catholic Church Hall in Hayes when Mr A S Webb will talk on The Life of a Master Carver at St Paul’s Cathedral.
