A SYDENHAM school was visited by one of its former pupils - Olympic hero Tasha Danvers.
Ms Danvers, who won bronze in the 400m Hurdles at the Beijing Olympics this year, visited Sydenham School in Dartmouth Road, on November 10.
The 31-year-old started the day by giving a talk to pupils called Anything is Possible.
During the day she walked around the school and was mobbed by pupils asking for her autograph.
She also gave an interview to the school magazine and gavea motivational talk on passing exams.
The runner has visited the school before and was sent flowers by puils after she won her medal in Beijing.
Ms Danvers former PE teacher Anne Bridgeman said: “It’s been the best summer ever really - I’ve followed her progress since day one.
“To have her find the time to come back into school was just wonderful. Tke kids are all talking about it.”
