(a) The title.
Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan –Draft Area Action Plan Consultation Report
(b) The subject matter.
The Draft Area Action Plan sets out the development opportunities for Bromley Town Centre over the next 15 years and forms the Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan Development Plan Document (DPD). It includes major redevelopment opportunities and major traffic and transport infrastructure changes. It sets out the planning framework for significant change and conservation, including detailed development control policies. Under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 a DPD must be informed by a Sustainability Appraisal. This ensures that any significant environmental, social and economic effects have been considered during the preparation of planning policy documents consistent with European Directive 2001/42/EC relating to Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA).
(c) The period within which representations may be made.
The Draft Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan Consultation Report will be available for comment from 17th November 2008 until 5 pm on 6th February 2009.

(e) Statement of notification. Any person who makes a comment on the Draft Area Action Plan Consultation Report for the town centre may also request to be notified at a specified address when the pre-submission Town Centre Area Action Plan is published for formal consultation prior to being submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination under section 20, and of the adoption of the Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan.
The Draft Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan Consultation Report together with the accompanying Sustainability Appraisal are available for inspection on the Bromley Council Web site - www.bromley.gov.uk and at the following locations (all of which are closed on Sundays), during the hours specified:
