POLICE in north Kent are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault.
The incident happened at the junction of Barrack Row and Darnley Road, near to the Somerset Arms pub and train station in Gravesend.
It took place in the early hours of this morning (November 7) A man was repeatedly assaulted by another man after an argument at the Somerset Arms pub.
He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
He has now been transferred to a hospital in London where his condition remains stable.
Witnesses have described the attacker as a black man, around 6'6" tall and of a large build.
