RESIDENTS are encouraged to make their views known on the future of the fire service.
Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority has published its plan for the coming year.
The body which oversee how Kent Fire and Rescue Service is run, is asking people to comment on proposals outlined in its Making kent Safer agenda.
This documents details ideas for 2009 and 2010.
Some of the ideas include what a fire station might look like in the future.
How the service could improve the way it delivers its community safety messages, and where it should set its council tax level for the coming year.
Chairman Bryan Cope said: “The views of the public and our staff are extremely important to us as this plan sets out our approach to development and resources for the future.”
People can comment by filling out a questionnaire, available online at kent.fire-uk.org or by calling 01622 692 121.
The consultation period will end on January 12.
