A COMMUNITY garden is taking shape with residents dropping in weekly to exercise their green fingers.
Over the past few weeks Stone Parish Council staff and local residents have been working hard to transform the community garden in Alamein Gardens (street name).
They have installed a new notice board, new benches, a bin and an insect garden.
There is more to be done, so the council is encouraging people to drop in between 9am and mid-day every Tuesday for some gardening, a cup of tea and a chat.
Council chairman Councillor Stephanie Thredgle said: “It is encouraging that local residents are supporting this project by getting involved and we are delighted with this wonderful community resource."
