THE election of committee members was held at the general meeting.

A vote of thanks was given to outgoing president Gillian Watson and she was congratulated on her huge contribution during the past three years.

Sandra Smith was welcomed as the new president. Members looked back on a year which has offered something for everyone, including outings of historical interest, theatre trips, quiz, drama, scrabble, craft sessions and much more.

During the last month members thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful performance of Carousel at the Churchill Theatre.

The five local, district WIs were invited to join members to test their knowledge at a quiz evening. It proved to be an extremely successful event which was well attended and with very challenging questions.
