STAFF at a doctor’s surgery dressed in pink clothing to work to raise money for breast cancer research.
About 20 staff members at the Rushey Green Group Practice, in Hawstead Road, Catford, wore pink in aid of charity Cancer Research’s breast cancer awareness month which ran throughout October.
Participants in the event last Friday (October 31) donated £2 each and the sugery was decorated with other pink items including feather boas and balloons.
Surgery co-ordinator Gemila Sultan organised the event and said: “The day was a huge success and everyone had a really great time.
“There was quite a bit of team spirit and it was a fun event for a serious cause.
“I haven’t done an official count of the money raised but I hope it will be more than £100.”
The surgery will be holding a free breast cancer information evening next Wednesday (November 12) at 7pm.
