A MENTAL health charity is training up some of the people it helps to support others.
As part of a Bromley Mind pilot scheme, Peer Volunteers have been running drop-in sessions at Bromley Mind’s Stepping Stones centre in Masons Hill, Bromley.
Bromley Mind trustee Graham White became one of the first trained volunteers.
He said: “I’ve taken on responsibilities, which has really increased my confidence.
“Now I feel I can do things I never would have thought I could have done before.”
Bromley Mind is now launching the scheme at its centres in Hayne Road, Beckenham, and Station Road, Orpington, with the next six-week volunteer induction courses starting in November and January.
