LONDON’S water charity Thames21 is hosting a training day on November 24 for people who want to organise a water clean-up.
The free event runs from 10am to 4pm and is aimed at people who may have a local spot on their river or canal which needs attention but do not know how to go about it.
The day will provide step-by-step instructions from beginning to end of the clean-up. Information will include: l How to attract volunteers and publicise the event.
l Motivating and inspiring volunteers during the event.
l Selecting a site, taking into account access and health and safety.
l How to involve disabled volunteers.
For information about the day, or to book a place, go to thames21.org.uk call training co-ordinator Ben Fenton on 07920 230970, or email ben.fenton@thames21.org.uk
