VOLUNTEERS launched a weekly walk on Tuesday (November 4) to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The first ever Hartley health walk left Hartley Library in Ash Road at 10am and will take place at the same time from the same place every week.
Trained volunteers will lead the hour-long walk each week, which is supported by Sevenoaks District Council and West Kent Primary Care Trust.
Council chairman Councillor Felicity Broomby, who took part in the first walk, said: “When I started my year as chairman of the Council back in May one of the things I was keen to promote was work on the subject of healthy lifestyles.
“That is why I am so pleased some of our local residents have taken it upon themselves to set their own health walk up in Hartley.”
For more details on the walk call the council on 01732 227000.
