A 16-YEAR-OLD conjured up first prize at a magician’s competition.
Edward Hilsum pulled victory, as well as a white dove, out of the hat at the Young Magicians' Club stage competition.
It was run by the Magic Circle, a society for professional magicians based in Euston.
The youngster first became interested when he was given a magic set as a present when he was six.
His mum, Lindsey Hilsum of Cross Ways, Petts Wood, said: “He would like to do magic when he grows up but he will carry on with his education and go to university too.”
The 51-year-old added: “He loves doing it. He does magic for corporate events and weddings.”
