A PLANNING application has been submitted to build a hotel with more than 100 rooms.

The application, which was sent to Dartford Council on October 31 by Lexview Ltd, based in Middlesex, includes plans to demolish an existing building in Spital Street, Dartford, and put up a building with shops on the ground floor and a 102-room hotel on upper floors.

The building is currently empty but it was previously used as a warehouse and shop for Courts furniture store.

A decision on the application is expected to be made early next year.
