Two taken to hospital after escaping Deptford flat fire
TWO men were taken to hospital after a fire in a flat in Deptford yesterday.
Firefighters were called to a fire in a ground floor flat Gosterwood Street at 10.54am on Tuesday (November 4).
A man who escaped from the flat before fire crews arrived was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Another man jumped to safety from a first floor window. Both men were taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the fire service said 25 per cent of the five room flat had been damaged by the fire.
