A LIBRARY is trying to get the whole community reading the same book at the same time to build community spirit.
Crystal Palace’s biggest library is suggesting a book for each of four age groups - adults, young people, older children and younger children, to be read by December 13.
Upper Norwood Joint Library, Westow Hill, is running this as part of Crystal Palace Park and Read, There are also opportunities to meet authors and write reviews during the period.
It will also host a quiz based on the featured books with a top prize of £100 for the winner, with other prizes for good reviews.
Chief librarian Bradley Millington said: “We are trying to make a gigantic reading group. By getting everyone to read the same book we’re trying to build community links.”
