A GROUP of bankers became gardeners and decorators for one day at a youth centre.
The four Barclays employees did some weeding and gardening work in the grounds of Woolwich YMCA centre, The Dockyard, Woolwich Church Street.
They also spent the day redecorating parts of the building.
Their effort was part of a scheme organised by the bank’s Business2Community organisation, which provides team building exercises and is based in Kashmir Road, Charlton.
Youth worker Mickey Jules from the centre said: “Without the help of volunteers, like the team involved, we would not be able to achieve what we do here.
“We are really happy that Barclays are getting involved in the centre.”
