YOUNGSTERS took part in a community project to help clean up a woodland.
A group of 15 children helped to paint and decorate a metal container, which will be used to store cleaning tools in a wood in Temple Hill, Dartford.
Youngsters aged five to 14-years old took part in the activity on October 31.
It was organised by the Temple Hill Community Development Trust, which is a community group run by volunteers.
The group own and manage the woodland.
Laura Carroll, a volunteer at the trust said: “The woodland was owned by a hospital in the 1950s.
“When the hospital shut down it was left unmanaged and became a haven for fly tippers.
“The group took ownership of the land so it could keep it clean and tidy.
“The children had real fun decorating the container in earthly colours so that it blended into the woodland."
