A NEW website has been launched by Transport for London allowing people to share their ideas on how to make London a better place.
And the first topic for debate and discussion is people’s behaviour on public transport.
New social networking site Together for London allows Londoners to start their own debate on a subject, or add to an existing one.
Users can also launch their own campaigns, based on personal pledges such as not to put their feet on seats, or shout into their mobile while on the bus, vote on issues and find out about discussions going on across the capital.
Transport commissioner Peter Hendy said: “People from all walks of life meet every day on public transport and what is acceptable behaviour to some, may make others feel uncomfortable.
He added: “This campaign is not about crime, but about inconsiderate behaviour.”
Esther Thompson, from London Youth, a network of youth clubs, said: “The site is a forum which allows young people to make their voices heard on considerate behaviour on public transport.”
