A DELEGATION of pensioners has travelled to London to protest at the way the credit crunch is hitting their quality of life.
The group from the borough’s Pensioners’ Forum went to the House of Commons to lobby Bexleyheath and Crayford MP David Evennett.
They raised concerns about how energy prices and the rise in the cost of living was affecting their fixed incomes, and about cuts in social care, pension levels and pension credits.
Mr Evennett said he shared their concerns about rising inflation and its impact on pensioners.
He also agreed with them the link between state pension levels and earnings should be re-established.
