A WOMEN’S England football player came to take a session with a group of aspiring 11 to 13-year-olds.
Rachel Yankey who plays for Arsenal and England ladies taught some skills to Darwin FC U12s and U13s girls team at Charles Darwin School, Jail Lane, Biggin Hill.
During the two-hour training session a group of 13 girls learned new techniques and got to play a match, putting them into practice.
After the session had finished she spent some time with the girls talking to them and signing autographs.
Ms Yankey said: “The girls have great potential, and I would expect them to go a long way in the future.”
She would be prepared to come down and spend time with the girls at any time if available and to keep in touch.
