FRIENDS and family have attended a funeral of a 20-year-old woman who died after taking cocaine.
Haniska Pett, of Valley Drive, Gravesend, died on October 19 in Darent Valley Hospital after taking the drug at a friends house.
Her funeral, which took place on October 30 at Medway Crematorium in Chatham, was called Haniska’s last night out and everyone was urged to dress up as if they were going out for the night.
Her mum, Angela, said: “It went so well and around 200 people turnt up. There were lots of legs, eyelashes, make-up and boots. Everyone looked wonderful.”
Angela also said that one of her daughter’s friends, Nina, sang an acapella of Dancing Queen and Nine to Five by Dolly Parton was also played during the funeral.
Haniska used to play this song when she was getting ready to go on a night out.
Angela said that after the funeral lots of people went back to their house and were telling stories about Haniska and catching up with eachother.
The family are planning to hold a 21st birthday party for Haniska in April.
