RESIDENTS are being advised to take advantage of free and discounted home energy efficiency measures.
The areas where residents could make the biggest savings are by better insulating their cavity walls and lofts, which is where a lot of heat loss occurs.
A range of home insulation grants are available for homeowners, landlords and people on low incomes for these improvements and nationally there are Warm Front grants for people on state benefits, including pensioners.
The grants can be up to £2,700 available for each home and Sevenoaks District Council can also give a top up while funding is available.
And Kent Action to Save Heat also offers bulk discount insulation schemes for all residents in the Sevenoaks district.
To find out more about home energy efficiency, visit the council’s website at sevenoaks.gov.uk/energy or call 01732 227000
