VOLUNTEERS took part in a clay pigeon shoot on Saturday to help raise money for charity.
Funds raised at the event, held at Hawley Clay Shooting Ground, Church Road, Sutton at Hone, will go to the Service by Emergency Volunteer Riders (Serv).
The service, also known as the Blood Runners, is made up of volunteer motorcyclists working for free at night to deliver urgently needed blood to hospitals across southern England.
There are around 400 volunteers across the south east and close to 80 in Kent.
Around 30 people, including some Serv volunteers, took part in the clay pigeon shoot, with £8 from each person’s £50 entry fee donated to the charity.
Prizes were given out at The Queen pub in New Road, South Darenth, after the event.
The day raised a total of £150.
Serv Kent county co-ordinator Peter Rolfe said: “It was a really good day. It raised awareness about the work we do and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
