A GROUP of charities which has been working together for 46 years is hosting its annual autumn fair.
The Association of Bexley Charities ‘78 consists of 10 mainly small charities, plus two associate charities, which first got together in 1962 and was reformed under its present name in 1978.
Together they give each other mutual support and combine their efforts for joint fundraising events, one of which is the autumn fair.
The charities involved are the Kent Lupus Group, Lepra, The Children’s Society, Anthony Nolan Trust, Down’s Syndrome Association, Bexley Tinnitus Group, Canterbury Oast Trust, Alzheimer’s Society, Bexley Diabetes Group and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The fair will be held in Roberts Hall, behind Christ Church in Bexleyheath Broadway, from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
Admission is 30p.
