ONE of the safest ways to enjoy Guy Fawkes Night is to go to an organised display.
Bexley is home to one of London’s biggest, organised by Welling Round Table.
This year will be the 36th display staged by the Tablers in Danson Park, Welling, and all the proceeds will go to good causes.
This year’s event takes place on November 8 and one of the organisers, John Mullender, says it will see a return to traditional family fun.
Out are the bands and the hi-tech equipment and back are fireworks timed to classical music, a traditional-style fun fair and seasonal hot food and drinks.
The gates open at 6pm and the display will begin at 8pm.
Tickets bought in advance cost £3.50 for adults and £2 for accompanied children.
They can be bought in shops displaying the event poster, online at wrt503.express.ts.com or by calling 07794 088995.
Tickets will also be available on the night, costing £5 and £3.
Parking is available and costs £5, but is very limited and people are urged to walk or use public transport.
