IT WAS all about books as a school prepared for half-term.
Children’s author Denis Bond was on hand to give pupils at Pelham Primary School, Pelham Road, Bexleyheath, some expert tips.
He also helped pupils aged between nine and 11 write their own stories.
Cinderella and Macbeth were the subjects of two storytelling shows where children acted out the stories.
There were visits to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, Rochester Castle, Christ Church in Bexleyheath Broadway and the Central Library.
Pupils also enjoyed competitions, a book sale, a spellathon and the chance to dress up as their favourite book characters.
