WINE, beer, bread and charity cash — who could wish for a better combination?
The annual homemade beer, wine and bread festival in the Freemantle Hall in Bexley Village High Street is growing in popularity and there were nearly 40 exhibitors this year.
People are invited to enter their homemade brews and bread and have them judged.
The beers and wines are judged by professionals this year the bread was judged by an expert from the village’s Italian delicatessen.
Nearly 100 people paid £5 to visit the event and were entertained by local performers the Gong Scourers Morris dancers and Rayband, an r’n’b band.
The event raised £600 which will be divided equally between the Bexley Red Cross Shop, the Stroke Association and the Crayford Centre in London Road, Crayford.
