A festival celebrating Asian culture in all its guises hits Greenwich this weekend. Curated by Bombay Mix — a south east London organisation promoting the Indian subcontinent and the south Asian diaspora worldwide via various mediums and events — DestinAsian festival launches with a mix of film, music and performance.
The National Maritime Museum will host DestinAsian Maritime — a journey into film, music and dance from the Indian subcontinent to the UK — the Viewfinder Gallery, Greenwich, a group exhibition of diverse photography around the theme of journeys (both travel and cultural ones). Then at Greenwich Picturehouse there will be a weekend of rich pickings from the world of south Asian independent documentary to feature films.
DestinAsian, Nov 1, venues across Greenwich.
