A TROPHY for the winners of a garden competition has been awarded to two pensioners.
Pat Lawrence, 73, and Jim McInally, 69, of Serica Court, in Greenwich High Road, won joint first place in this year’s gardening competition Greenwich in Bloom.
The pair won the award for work on the garden at the retirement housing building where they are tenants.
A trophy was presented to the pair by Greenwich Mayor Steve Offord at a ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall, in Wellington Street, Woolwich, on October 23.
