A FLAT fire which claimed the life of a five-year-old girl and left her mother and three-year-old brother critically ill in hospital is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.
The youngsters and their mother, who is in her 20s, were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, after the blaze in the first-floor flat in Clive Road, Belvedere.
The girl died shortly after arriving at hospital.
Firefighters from Erith were called to the incident at around 2.46am yesterday (October 27) and had the fire under control within around 45 minutes.
