RESIDENTS can find out how families kept themselves amused before the days of consoles and computers during an exhibition.
Dartford Museum’s “Fun and Games” exhibition starts on November 8. The event will display a range of retro games and puzzles including card games dating back to the Victorian period, 1930s board games and early versions of family favourites such as snakes and ladders.
Portfolio holder for the museum, Councillor Patsy Thurlow said: “We all remember playing games and puzzles in our childhood and some of the exhibits will certainly provide a trip down memory lane.
“Many of the games on display are still enjoyed by families today and it will be interesting to see the changes made to the games through the years.”
The exhibition will run until March 21 next year. It is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays between 10am and 2pm and 3pm and 5.30pm and on Saturdays it is open between 9am and 1pm and 2pm and 5pm.
