A SCHOOL has celebrated the opening of its £319,000 sports area.
The multi-use games area at Dalmain Primary School, in Brockley Rise, Forest Hill, was built using grants from Lewisham Council, grassroots organisation the Football Foundation, the UEFA’s HatTrick project and the school.
Called The Pen, it is marked out for football, tennis, basketball and netball, and also includes floodlights and a spectator area.
It is also available for community use and private hire.
Sir Steve Bullock opened The Pen on by kicking-off its first official football match on October 16.
Headteacher Elizabeth Booth said: “We are sure that this wonderful new resource will further strengthen ties between our school community and local residents.”
