RESIDENTS celebrated the completion of a new park as part of a £500m regeneration project.
More than 40 residents at The Bridge in Burnham Road, Dartford, organised a BBQ and a community planting event on October 18.
They planted a range of shrubs and bulbs in the park.
Leader of Dartford Council Councillor Jeremy Kite also attended.
He said: “There’s a real spark to this community and it’s quite unlike any other new development in the region.”
The Bridge is a new housing development, which is being built in Dartford.
It will take around three years to complete and will provide 1,500 homes, 7,500 jobs and a learning and community campus.
The first phase of the development is due for completion at the end of the year, and around 300 people currently live there.
The event was sponsored by developer George Wimpey South East.
