THESE pink ladies proved a cut above the rest when it came to raising money for a breast cancer charity.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, staff at Anne Stewart’s Hair Salon in Station Approach, Hayes, dressed in pink while trimming customers' hair.
The fundraiser on October 17 coincided with the salon’s 40th birthday and customers helped to raise £300 for the Breast Cancer Care charity.
Owner Anne Griffiths, 59, said: “I have some wonderful staff working for me and they all made a real effort to dress up.
“We were selling strips of raffle tickets for £1 in return for a glass of wine and a cake and got some great support.
“A few original clients still come and get their hair cut with us 40 years after we opened and it was a really successful day.”
