A LATIN sporting sensation kicked off in north Kent this month.
Sevenoaks district hosted its first ever futsal match in Swanley, as part of the Kent futsal league.
The match took place at White Oak Leisure Centre in Hilda May Avenue on October 8.
The league, for men aged 16 and above, is one of only three in the country.
Five of the league’s teams are based in the Sevenoaks district.
League games take place every Wednesday at White Oak Leisure Centre from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.
Colin Hunwick said: “Originating from Brazil and played by 25 million people world-wide, futsal is a form of non-contact indoor five-a-side football.”
The futsal matches are being delivered by a partnership between Sevenoaks District Council, Sencio Community Leisure, NHS West Kent and The Kent Football Association.
