STUDENTS from schools in Kent attended a road safety show to learn about the dangers they face when crossing the road.

The event which was organised by Moat housing association took place on October 17.

Youngsters from King’s Farm Primary School in Cedar Avenue, Gravesend and Bysingwood Road Primary School in Lower Road, Faversham were invited along.

The show was an educational presentation which combined singing and circus skills to convey the message of playing safe to young people and to stop, look and listen before crossing the road.

Each student was given a reflective arm band, which is visible in car headlights and helps young people to be seen more easily after dark.

Community development officer at Moat, Peter Whatmore said: “The young people really enjoyed the show and had fun joining in.

“I was particularly impressed by the younger children as they paid close attention and really seemed to take the message on board.”
