POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic accident last week.
The incident, involving a pedestrian, Patrick Kelly, and a double-decker bus, happened at around 7am on October 13 in Wickham Court Road, at the junction with the High Street, West Wickham.
The 61-year-old from Croydon suffered serious injuries and died the next morning.
A post mortem on October 15 at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough gave cause of death as head injuries.
An inquest will open and adjourn shortly.
Sergeant Paul Sanders, who is investigating, said: “We have yet to establish whether or not there was contact between the bus and the man who died, so I’m keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.”
No arrests have been made at the time of going to press.
Anyone with information should call 020 8285 1574 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
