A VISIT to a library or archive centre over the next few weeks will give people a chance to try out some new activities.
Kent County Council (KCC) is taking part in Do Something Different, which is an initiative to promote the different services available in libraries.
Morris dancing, yoga for children, crafts and visits will be among the events planned for customers to enjoy.
Hive House library, Hive Lane, Northfleet, is offering fruit and veg bags to visitors and between October 27 and November 1 there will be a range of spooky Halloween events.
KCC cabinet member for communities Councillor Mike Hill said: “Modernised libraries are now community hubs for activities which local people have told us they would like to take part in and these events help raise awareness of the many opportunities on offer at the local library which have proved extremely popular.
“I urge everyone to try something different in their area.”
