A SAFER neighbourhood team is the first in London to cover its entire ward with a neighbourhood watch scheme.
The Hayes and Coney Hall Safer Neighbourhood Team now has 118 watches across the area it operates in.
Neighbourhood watch groups act as the eyes and ears of the community, liaising between police and residents.
There are 630 safer neighbourhood teams across the capital, covering 624 electoral wards.
Head of the Hayes and Coney Hall team Sergeant David Black said: “This is a testament to all the hard work that the team have put into recruiting co-ordinators and setting up watches.
“The partnership between the police and neighbourhood watch is very important.”
