FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a house in Naylor Road, New Cross, yesterday evening.
The fire badly damaged the ground floor and two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were called to the scene.
Two men, two women and three children left the property before the fire brigade arrived.
The brigade was called at 7.33pm and the fire was under control by 8.16pm. Crews from New Cross and Old Kent Road fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
